typhoon "Santi"
has submerged the BFAR 4A facilities in Los Baños
and Bay, Laguna a month after super typhoon “Ondoy”
has flooded the facilities. “Santi”, the 19th
typhoon to cross the Philippines stormed Laguna on October
31, 2009 with very strong winds and rains adding enormous
damage to those affected by “Ondoy”. >>

Delays Relocation of BFAR 4A |
 Super
typhoon “Ondoy” has indefinitely postponed
the relocation of BFAR 4A’s Regional Office to its
Freshwater Fisheries Research Station (FFRS) facility
in Bambang, Los Baños, Laguna. The Regional Fisheries
Research and Development Center (RFRDC), Extension Training,
and Communication Division (ETCD), and the Provincial
Fishery Office (PFO) are housed inside the facility. >>
